Honglou

Honglou became a source-to-book typesetting study for the 120-chapter *Dream of the Red Chamber*. Its preparation notes distinguish novel text from historical commentary. They use the [Wikisource commentary edition](https://zh.wikisource.org/zh-hant/脂硯齋重評石頭記) for chapters 1–80 except chapter 67, and the [collated 120-chapter novel](https://zh.wikisource.org/zh-hant/紅樓夢) for chapter 67 and chapters 81–120. Navigation and modern web glosses are removed while paragraph boundaries and source commentary labels are retained.

One structured source feeds separately typeset A5 print and phone-shaped editions. Inspected test sources check chapter order, source characters, commentary text, and layout limits; PDF checks cover text counts and bookmarks. A recorded September 18, 2026 build produced a 2,769-page print edition and a 5,508-page mobile edition, each with 120 chapter bookmarks. Release files and a successful matching workflow were confirmed, but the PDFs were not downloaded or visually re-inspected in this recovery. No download is offered here.

This is a sourced reading edition, not a newly proofread critical edition. Its source notes mark an unresolved glyph rather than silently replacing it. A later annotation-layout change should not be read back into the September 18 release.
