compare homebrew and macports

The choose of one thing always depend on many dimentions. Homebrew is very popular, but I find it's hard to understand how it works and if some issue happens or I want to do some customization it's hard to hack.

So I tried to use MacPorts days ago, I am suprised that it similar to what I just loved freebsd ports.
