Solar Term Wheel

This Racket visualization lays out 24 sectors on a 1,600 × 1,600 wheel. Its data records Chinese names, pinyin, English descriptions, longitude values, date ranges and seasons. The rendered labels show Chinese names, pinyin and date ranges; four seasonal colours and 24 line-drawn icons organize the ring.

The generator and saved SVG/PNG were recovered and inspected on 7 October 2026. An isolated rerun produced both formats. The new SVG retained the archived labels and structure; only the selected sector's highlight styling changed.

The selection rule is approximate: it uses the local month and day and the first day of each hard-coded date range. It does not calculate the Sun's position or a transition time for a particular year or time zone. The stored longitude values are spaced in 15-degree steps and determine the diagram's geometry, not the current-term calculation.

No authoritative citation for the label/date table was found in the inspected generator, so these ranges remain implementation data rather than a verified calendar. The public page documents the drawing experiment; it does not provide a live calendar or downloads of the archived files.
